Act Now - Ask Congress to Pass FY’ 21 Funding Bill Before August Recess!

Thanks to everyone's continued advocacy, the House Full Committee on Appropriations passed their budget for the Department of Health and Human Services, which included level-funding for the Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) for FY’21 at $9.7 million. This is great news!

However, with the legislative calendar running out, there are only so many days that the House will be in session to vote on passage before the August recess. As of now, the House is scheduled to pass two spending bills before the end of July.

We need you to contact your representative and urge them we can’t afford to kick this can down the road. Tell them this program can’t wait until after the August recess. The House must pass funding for the Paralysis Resource Center before they leave for August recess.

Thank you for taking the time to contact your Representatives to urge timely passage of the HHS appropriations bill, including $9.7 million for the Paralysis Resource Center (PRC). We rely on advocates like you to speak up on the community’s behalf, and this simple action will remind Congress that the PRC is an important resource for the paralysis community.
